Served as corporate counsel to the $160M annual sales Anheuser Busch wholesaler (family owned) consisting of approximately 275 employees. Provided legal assistance regarding all major contractual agreements, collection practices and corporate matters. Managed and assisted in all aspects of public affairs and government relations, fostering strategic relationships with elected officials and key industry lobbyists at the local, state, and federal levels. Represent the company at industry, state, and federal government meetings in addition to acting as corporate liaison to hospitals and community associations. Kept abreast of issues affecting both the company and beer industry. Advised the President & CEO. Supported Human Resource functions.
Operational Highlights:
Facilitated the creation of a regional legislative coalition of elected officials at the state and federal levels.
Managed the legal and regulatory issues for the build out of a new $26M facility, including land purchase and contract negotiations, zoning, permitting, and licensing as well as hearings involving construction incidents.
Succeeded in negotiating the sale and lease back of the corporation’s former facility after representing the company on title issues and environmental actions.
Successfully negotiated and closed the acquisition of Corona and other beer brands.
Developed and implemented electronic discovery and record retention policies.
Revised the employee manual and orchestrated a wage and hour audit to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, including Florida case law.

Retained as an Outside Counsel for WRBQ AM/FM from 1987-1993.
Reviewed contractual obligations, advised management on legal and regulatory issues, supervised contract attorneys on specialized legal matters pertaining to intellectual property registration and usage, monitored legal developments in the broadcasting industry, and ensured statutory compliance at the state and federal level.
Collaborated with Federal Communication Commission (FCC) counsel on issues related to broadcasting content, regulations concerning facility operations, and reporting requirements.
